Dr. Ashley DeLeon
Fellowship Trained Surgeon Specializing in Top Surgery
Dr. Ashley N. DeLeon, MD, FACS is a board-certified general surgeon who had vast experience in breast surgery before becoming proficient in Top Surgery. After practicing general surgery, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, and complex abdominal, pelvic and breast procedures, Dr. DeLeon developed an interest in transgender surgery. She completed advanced fellowship training in gender-affirming procedures with Dr. Curtis Crane and then joined the Crane Center for Transgender Surgery in Austin, Texas. Aside from providing trauma care for drivers at the Formula One track in Austin, Dr. DeLeon works exclusively with transgender and non-binary patients.

Dr. DeLeon is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH.)
Dr. DeLeon offers the Double Incision and Keyhole types of Top Surgery.
Dr. DeLeon operates at Arise Austin Medical Center and Westlake Hills Surgery Center.
Dr. DeLeon follows WPATH guidelines for surgery. You will need to provide one referral from a mental health professional, otherwise specified by insurance. Additionally, patients must be 18+ years of age.

Financing & Insurance
Dr. DeLeon accepts credit/debit cards, cashier's check, money order, wire transfer and medical financing via CareCredit. She also accepts insurance and is in-network with Cigna PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Commercial United Healthcare PPO, and Employer Health Network (Whole Foods). Crane Center has also had success billing out-of-network with Aetna, Group Health, Harvard Pilgrim, HealthPartners and Medica. Medicare, Medicaid, Tri-Care, Kaiser, Ambetter and Oscar Health are not accepted.
Booking a Consultation
Dr. DeLeon is available for phone or in-person consultations in Austin. If insurance is out-of-network, then the cost of the consultation is $200. If in-network, the consultation fee is the specialist co-pay. An in-person consultation is not required for booking a surgery date.
