Video: How To Take Care of Top Surgery Drains

Top Surgery drains can be one of the most irritating parts of recovery. After surgery, you'll need to empty your drains at least twice a day, record the fluid output, and "strip" the tubing to keep it draining well. Your surgeon will provide you with instructions about how to do this hygienically.

In the video below, Dr. Drew Schnitt explains how to care for drains after Top Surgery.

Dr. Drew Schnitt is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who offers FTM Top Surgery in South Florida. In practice since 2002, Dr. Schnitt is skilled at multiple methods of Top Surgery, as well as Facial and Body Masculinization procedures. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and WPATH.
